MY EPITAPH

Here lies a man who is put to rest.

For all through his life he did his best.

This crazy old world is over for me.

For many great things in life did I see.

I went through the thick and went through the thin.

I done pretty well for the shape I was in.

I lived and I loved on this earthly place.

And went through it all with a smile on my face

Sometimes were good and sometimes were bad.

But the days of my youth were the best that I had.

I enjoyed a pint and the ould bit of crack.

I kept going forward and never looked back.

There was many a problem that stood in my way.

But I just Took it easy and lived by the day.

Many great thoughts I had in my head.

They're all now gone for now I am dead.

For here lies the body of the great John Smith

A truly great poet and a man of great wit!
