Dermot Curtin of Gunne Property Consultants has announced the successful sale of Ballincar House Hotel immediately after the auction. Ballincar House Hotel is a long established country house hotel and occupies a superb elevated site on the road to Rosses Point overlooking Sligo Bay and guarded by the magnificent Benbulben to the rear.
The hotel accommodation comprises 25 tastefully decorated en suite bedrooms, restaurant (seats 60), bar/lounge, residents lounge, several meeting rooms, snooker, sauna and modern catering kitchen. The four bedroomed, two storey detached private residence adjacent to the hotel was also included in the sale.
Ballincar House Hotel stands on six acres of potentially prime development land very close to Sligo Town and has the added benefit of full planning permission to develop a 70 bedroom luxury hotel with state of the art function and conference facilities, and a modern leisure centre.
While the selling price was not disclosed the agents were quoting a guideline price of £1,2 million before auction and all they will say is that they are extremely happy with the sale price.
The property was bought in trust by Michael Horan of Horan, Monaghan & Co., Solicitors, OConnell Street, Sligo.
