Subject: Coney Island
Hello: My name is Bob Gay from Baltimore, Maryland USA and I was really interested in your site. It's very well arranged and informative. I have a family research question and thought maybe you could help me. My grandmother was Sara McAlinden who was born on Coney Island April 20, 1897. Her father James McAlinden worked as a caretaker for a man she always called by his title "Charlamon". They lived on the island until about 1908 when their 5th child was born and the caretakers house was to small for the family at this time they moved back to the McAlinden farm on the mainland. I have a family picture taken in 1905 of the McAlinden family at there house on Coney Island. I was wondering why they weren't in the 1901 Census. and if you might have any information or could direct me to someone who might have information on the McAlindens or some history on who "Charlamon" was.
My address is Bobby2607@aol.com.
Thank you for your
time
Sincerely,
Bob
