Message: Yez are right, these bloody American politicans are all the same. We had a fella came back to Sligo after 6 weeks in New York, they called him "Yank" Hughes when he came back. Got on to the Corporation and began demanding a new bridge across the Sligo river and that was in 1944 when petrol rationing and the war or the emergency as Dev called it was on!
